Lauren London Can't Talk About Her Concluding Twenty-four hour period With Nipsey Hussle: I Oasis't Gotten To Digest The Fullness Of Information technology Because Information technology'due south Overwhelming

Lauren LondonandNipsey Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, were the definition of couple goals before his untimely and shocking death on March 31. He was 33-years-one-time. His friends and loved ones spoke with GQabout some of their favoriteNipsey Husslemoments, andLauren London,who had been with him for years, and also has sonKrosswith him, shared a rare story of how they met.

"Nosotros met through a common friend, like, on the phone. Because we're both from L.A., we had a lot of friends in common. I had a couple of homegirls that had hung out with him and would come back to me like, 'Oh, my God! Y'all would really like Nip! He seems like your type!' I wasn't dating anybody at the fourth dimension, or doing any of that. We met because I wanted to pick up a box of apparel he offered me after I bought a couple [copies of] Crenshaw. I pulled up to his shop on Crenshaw and Slauson, and he was like, 'Y'all want to hang out?'"

She said their get-go appointment included stopping by her aunt's house, who she had no idea that Nipsey Husslereally knew.

"Nosotros drove around the city, and to my surprise he knew my aunt, so nosotros pull up to my aunt's house to eat. He had called her. Subsequently that night we drove downward PCH and talked for hours. I would consider that our get-go engagement. Before that, we had talked on the phone for like viii hours, only [this] was the beginning fourth dimension nosotros were face-to-face. We started kicking it every day for weeks, and and so I realized that we never went to dinner and had, like, a proper kickoff date. Information technology didn't take long for them to realize they had a lot in common.

"Nosotros were both foodies. Nosotros would go to Fiddling Ethiopia a lot and eat at Merkato. He introduced me to Eritrean and Ethiopian cuisine. He loved Mexican food and anything really spicy—he would add actress jalapeños. I was e'er making him tacos. Ever."

The two rapidly barbarous in love and welcomed sonKross. Lauren Londonadded thatHussle ,

"was a very gentle father. Extremely gentle. Very present."

And he ever kept her on her toes.

"Nip was very spontaneous. He would exist similar, 'Boog, allow'south go out of town.' And I'd go with him and no luggage. He was very fun in that way. He loved having fun. We'd wake upwards in the morning, and he'd be like, 'Bet you won't become on a roller coaster.' We would literally just launder our faces, brush our teeth, put on sweats, and go to Magic Mountain, randomly, to go on a roller coaster and get-go the day."

She added that he gave her a special gift just days before he passed.

"A couple days earlier he passed, he bought me 3 books. I was a book nearly parenting. He loved Power vs. Force. He swore on that volume and got a lot of game from it. I mean, betwixt he and I, we d*** nearly had a library."

Interestingly enough, the two slayed GQtogether in February. She revealed that behind the scenes, Husslehelped her become her confidence up.

"We were in the bathroom putting on our clothes, and all of it was music-video, model-esque clothing. I'm similar, 'I can't fit in anything, I'm overweight.' This was the beginning fourth dimension I was taking pictures later the baby. And he's like, 'You're cute, I'm gonna make this piece of work. Don't trip, Boog. Proceed your energy upwards.'"

"And then he comes out and was like, 'Nosotros gotta become her right.' So they set another fitting for me, subsequently that day. She added that it was a large deal for everyone, particularly their close friends and family.

"That street where we took a picture on the horse? That's my cousin'due south cake. I remember later, my homegirl who does my hair, Maisha, was crying, and I'm similar, 'Why are you crying?' And she's like, ' just feel like I've been a function of some history.'"

"I haven't gotten to digest the fullness of it, considering it'southward overwhelming and I'thou in the process of healing myself and my family unit. But I absolutely experience the love of the city."

She salutedHussleand said,

"Nip wasn't just trying to make music to get coin or exist famous. He understood that through his music, he would be able to get his message across. And he was very big on his purpose with God. He knew who he was with God. He knew the mission that God and the purpose that God had placed on his centre."

"He loved his people. He wanted us to be potent and on our own, and he really wanted to put that message in his music and in his interviews. At present when people YouTube him and go dorsum, they're getting reintroduced to Nip. But Nip was always on that mission."
